The Situation:

  • Current turnover levels were higher then acceptable
  • New employees took too long to get up to expected productivity levels
  • Process for internal selection was informal and not standardized

What We Did:

  • Identified critical competencies for success for the key roles in the organization
  • Developed a behavior-based interviewing protocol (process, interview guides, evaluation forms) to ensure all candidate were being assessed against the critical competencies
  • Trained all hiring managers in behavior-based interviewin 

The Outcome:

  • Turnover was reduced to acceptable levels
  • Improvement in employee productivity
  • Managers reported leveraging skills developed in interviewing to assist them managing and developing current employees
